In early 2019, I had to read 1Samuel chapters in preparing for my BSF lessons. Call it a coincidence, I read about this character, Hannah, for the first time from 1Samuel 1 to 3 chapters. What struck me the most about Hannah is the trust she had in God after she cast her downs to God. 1Samuel1:18 She said,”May your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.
I have learnt that when God’s people pray according to His purposes, they will find strength, power and freedom in Him.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. I really think that God will guide us in His ways and at His perfect time. I need to learn how to be still before God.
