My Journey

Two days later on 10th May 2018, I got to witness the embryos being transferred into my uterus. That was such an encouraging procedure, a step almost to a closure of a complete IVF cycle. The entire procedure took approximately 15 to 20 minutes. It wasn’t painful but there was an uncomfortable feeling when a vagina speculum, which I saw looked like the beak of a duck, was inserted into my vagina and when a catheter was pushed through the cervix. I watched on the TV screen as the doctor slowly transferred two embryos into my uterus. Sigh. The eleven days of self-injections were worth it. There was at least some hope.
I was instructed to do progesterone insertions through vagina twice daily in the next 16 days till the pregnancy blood test.
